Calendula is one of the most well known and versatile herbs in Western herbal medicine. Its bright orange petals are an excellent remedy for red and inflamed skin. Their antiseptic and healing properties aid in preventing the spreading of infections and accelerate rate of repair. Also known as a cleansing and detoxifying herb: Its infusion and tincture are used to treat chronic infections. This Oil has an anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, vulnerary (aiding healing of wounds) effect and is very useful in its own right. The addition of essential oils enhance the effects of the oils together. Light scent and soft, velvety smooth, non-greasy formula soaks into skin without making you feel like you have to take a shower afterwards! If used in tub, be careful as oils may cause tub to be slippery!
